Summary
To open a feature request, start by creating a ticket. If you have never done so, check out the quick guide here:
During the ticket creation process, under issue type, select "Feature request" in the issue type dropdown.
To make sure that we can properly service your request, be sure to include these relevant details: (feel free to copy this template into your feature request ticket)
Full description of request
example:
"In order to meet security requirements, we are required to audit the database. For this reason, we need an audit log available for YSQL which is external to the database. This audit log should contain audits including user logins, DDL, and writes"
Frequency of feature impact
example:
- Once per universe (on universe creation)
- During any scheduled maintenance, restart, or rolling restart
- Every time connecting to the database

Please note that feature requests are not subject to standard ticket response times. Severity request will be automatically set to "normal" for all feature requests.
Feature delivery time is subject to engineering priority and commercially reasonable effort.
